Judy – my understanding Mr. Harper had other duties on the west coast. So, if it was only to announce their commitment to the environment plan, then, I would have more critism. Tele-conferencing should be used more – even for their committee meetings. Why do witnesses have to be flown to Ottawa for a 15 – 60 minute presentation?

BTW: does anyone have a problem with NASA and it’s space flights? A hell of lot of fuel being used.

AND – why isn’t TJ (Layton) complaining about North Korea and its environmental damage it does with its testings? Oh yeah – it’s not “Bush”.

Catherine: Once again, I agree. However you should have included P.M. Harper and the 3 ministers in your criticism. They all flew out to B.C. to make a very important announcement.The announcement was that there will be an announcement in the House next week.
Talk about wasted time and energy.

Did any press geniuses ask the “experts” ask why it would take 5 years to pass any environmental legislation on target emissions?

Is it that the “experts” and their supporters are on the take and want to derail any reduction so that China gets our 10+ BILLION tax dollars?

If TJ (Layton) and his green buddies want to curb CO2, then why is he flying everywhere to his speaking engagements (such as his university speaking stumps). Why not set an example and use existing technologies – like tele-conferencing. Wouldn’t less use of airplane fuel put downward pressure on “Alberta’s tar sands” fuels? He is such a hypocrite!
