In the time of Jesus, as one brief example, there were four sects competing for power…The Pharisees, who were the ‘autorized way to Jehovah; The Sadducees who were pro-Roman Empire, and the Essenes who were Messianic, and the order to which Jesus (actually Yahshua Ha Mashiach) belonged. Today the Jewish sects in North America consist primarily of Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform, and then there are the Zionists. There has also risen the Messianic Jews who believe in Christianity.

we have seen a rise of Literalists here in North America, most of whom are well intentioned, but as blind as can be due to the teachings of the Funnymentalists, which are no different than the ancient Funnymentalists, or the Islamic Jihadists.

Same goes for Islam. There are the Shiites, Sunnis, Funnymentalists, and various other sects. Then there are the Hindus which have many sects, including some Islamic ones. Some seek for Truth while others merely proclaim they alone are The Way. Where have we heard that before, eh?

I find it best to understand all of them as time permits, and simply believe God are loving parents (We made their in OUR image…male, female, spiritual, sentient), not some blood thristy ego-maniac playing partisan politics. But then after 40 years of research and personal introspection I have come to those conclusions, yet believe that God has sent numerous messengers to teach we, the Children, the lessons God wants us to know. Unfortunately, we have amongst us many who will tinker with what God gave, and ‘revise’ the words to portray God as some vicious rule driven maniac to create Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD). My God is not their god.
